Selling on eBay

Using Ebay to sell items is a great way to make money, but there is also hard work involved. If you do not make a good first impression you will struggle with your Ebay business.

Setting a good first impression includes selling and shipping a quality product to get good feedback and repeat sales. If you fail to make this impression, you may lose the possibility of good feedback and future sales. You can start making your first impression early on.

After somebody purchases an item from you, they might have buyer’s remorse in which they regret the purchase. They may worry about whether or not they should have actually gone through with the purchase. In this case, you can only hope that the product you send the buyer makes that first impression.

A buyer might have the exact opposite feeling as well. They might have pure excitement for the item to arrive and be in their hands. If it takes a long time for the product to get to them they begin to worry and become less excited to have made the purchase.

You want to keep the feeling of excitement in hopes of making a solid impression. Before shipping an item you want to make sure it will be presentable when it arrives. You want the wrapping to be clean and complete.

Don’t make a bad impression by sending garbage to the buyer. If you have trouble finding shipping and packing material, you can even find sellers on Ebay who specialize in it. When packaging, you might even want to include a note thanking the customer for his or her business, and a receipt.

In both of these cases, it is most beneficial to ensure that the item is shipped as soon as possible. You also want to ship practically. If you decide to pay a little extra and ship an item first class, your buyer will get the item sooner, while they are still excited about the purchase.

Your hope is that the buyer will show you his or her appreciation in the form of another sale or good feedback. Customers often acknowledge speedy shipping. Finally, to make a good impression, you may want to follow up by offering a discount for a percentage off the price of another item for selling on Ebay store or website.

Not only does this build a bond with the customer, but the first impression is a positive one.
